Apartment in “Garden Quarters” Residential Complex

Interior design & furnishing. Moscow, Russia

Working on this project we pursued making the space as functional and comfortable as possible – for a family of three, preserving minimalist and cozy interior – in the modern style.

The interior design of the apartment with a total area of 210 sq.m. is carried out in muted color tones utilizing textures of natural stone and wood, which are enriched by decorative elements and paintings. Despite the use of muted shades, the apartment remains bright due to large windows and high natural insolation. In accordance with the client’s request, the space of the apartment is effectively zoned during the night-time, using a variety of lighting systems integrated into the project.

The apartment contains of 2 bedrooms (for parents and kids), home-office, dining area, living room, kitchen, 3 bathrooms and a laundry room.

The entrance leads to a spacious hallway with a capacious wardrobe, large floor mirror, a table and a comfortable pouffe. The hallway shares a single space with the dining area, separated from it by a decorative see-through partition (Rimadesio, Italy). Due to its design, the partition made it possible to effectively separate the spaces, while maintaining the overall volume of the room.

There is a large table for 8 people in the dining area with a separate exit to the loggia next to it. On the right from the dining table there is a hanging double-sided fireplace with an imitation of a hood, finished with large porcelain stoneware. The bio-fireplace separates the dining room from the living room.

From the living room side, it houses a TV and is provided with open bookshelves on the front-end, that visually make the its design lighter and offer additional features.

The living room is a visually isolated space with a large number of seats to relax: a coach continued by a side table and a comfortable armchair (Minotti, Italy). The upholstered furniture is complemented by a coffee table with a marble top (Giogetti, Italy), a Tv that is located above the fireplace and a credenza for the appliances.

The areas of the living room, lounge and hallway are united by a large corner cabinet-showcase with open and closed sections and a built-in bar (Lema, Italy).

The spacious kitchen is separated from the dining area by a wall, that is framed with wooden panels. It looks like a wooden wall panel from the dining room side and is the houses the oven, microwave, steamer and coffee machine from the kitchen side. It is provided with additional drawers and shelves for storage, as well. Double-sided island and a multifunctional kitchen cabinet (MK Cucine), as well as a semi-bar table with chairs for four, are located in the kitchen area.

The private area, which includes a master bedroom with a dressing room and a bathroom, an office and a nursery with a balcony and a bathroom, is located on the left side of the hallway.

The master bedroom is a personal comfort zone with a large double bed (Minotti, Italy), TV, large dressing room equipped with built-in wardrobes (Lema, Italy) and a spacious private bathroom. The dressing room is separated by a sliding glass partition (Rimadesio, Italy), and the area in front of the bathroom is separated by a glass door that does not create any visual barriers in the total volume of the master bedroom.

The bathroom is equipped with a double sink washbasin, a free-standing bathtub made of composite material, a shower area and a toilet. In front of its entrance, behind the glass door, there is an additional storage for the bath accessories.

The office is equipped with a designer desk (Cassina, Italy) built-in shelving, as well as a fold out corner sofa and a wardrobe for storing personal belongings. When needed, the office can be used as a guest room with a full double bed.

The kid’s room has a double bed with bedside tables and an ottoman, a wardrobe, a cabinet for the TV and a workplace. The kid’s room space is very functional in terms of storing a large number of belongings and toys. In addition, an additional case for books is placed in a warm loggia next to the room.

Next to the kids’s room and the office there is a separate bathroom with a shower, while another guest restroom is located between the hallway and the kitchen area – it also accommodates a laundry room, which is taken out of the living area.

As part of the project, we have also selected wall paintings and decor elements that organically complemented the interior of the apartment. As a result, our client received a stylish and functional family space, that has everything required for a truly comfortable life.
